SAVE
THE DROWNING CHILDREN
SYNOPSIS

Located in northwest Cambodia, Tonle Sap Lake stands as the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. The lake serves as the dwelling place for numerous Vietnamese fishermen, who reside on boats within floating villages. Young children, until proficient in swimming, face the constant threat of drowning, particularly at night when they sleep on these boats. These children are thereby often equipped with empty plastic bottles tied to their necks to save them from drowning. More lives - perhaps all lives - can be saved if they have access to life vests.
Save The Drowning Children Foundation has been established to raise funds with the specific aim of providing life vests to these children. The foundation is also committed to offering Drowning CPR training to the villagers, empowering them with the skills necessary to rescue these young lives from peril.
